Dr. Md Kamrul Hossain is an accomplished academic, researcher, and consultant with over a decade of experience in higher education, research leadership, and statistical consultancy. He holds a PhD in Operations Research from Universiti Sains Malaysia and specializes in advanced statistical modeling, data science, and research methodology.
Currently serving as an Associate Professor in Statistics at Daffodil International University , Dr. Hossain also plays a pivotal role as the Chief Research & Training Adviser at Leonore International, where he provides strategic direction for research programs, designs capacity-building initiatives, and delivers high-impact training for diverse professional audiences.
In academia, he has previously led the Department of General Educational Development and currently holds the position of Additional Director, Division of Research, where he drives institutional research initiatives, fosters international collaborations, and organizes academic events.
His research portfolio spans public health, education, economics, and environmental science, with over 30 publications in high-impact journals including JAMA Network Open, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, BMC Women’s Health, and Biodiversity and Conservation. He is also the author of multiple books and book chapters on research methodology and applied statistics.
Beyond academia, Dr. Hossain has extensive consultancy experience with national and international organizations, including projects for the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Education, Directorate of Primary Education, and international research networks. His expertise covers survey design, data analysis, program evaluation, and impact assessment, with proficiency in R, SPSS, Python, and advanced data visualization.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Hossain has taught and developed courses on statistics, probability, operations research, and data science, mentoring numerous undergraduate and graduate research projects. His leadership and scholarly contributions continue to inspire students, researchers, and professionals alike, making him a respected figure in Bangladesh’s academic and research community.
